October 26, 2010 – Strachan Avenue Overpass Design Update
Thanks to the 25 attendees at the October 26 Design Update meeting and the
additional 20 visitors to our Have Your Say section of our Website, we have
received over 100 comments specific to the Strachan Avenue Overpass design. The
feedback is thoughtful, creative, detailed and will help shape the look and feel
of the overpass in the community. It also brought forward a number of important
considerations to keep in mind during the construction phase. To review the

We will be hosting a future meeting to formally present further details that
our consultant has been working on as a result of the feedback we received. Some
examples of what might be discussed are different strut options and
incorporating elements of the Fort York Pedestrian Bridge into the design of the
Strachan Avenue Overpass. Stay tuned for a future meeting date.
