#GOGETAWAY

Discover a different side of GO this summer!

We live for weekends, especially during the summer. And planning them is just half the fun. Exploring the big city, or cycling through wine country – it’s good to have weekend options, and we give them to you.

Toronto to Niagara. Barrie to Toronto. Either way, we’ll take you there. Now, let’s plan your weekend getaway.

Niagara and Niagara-on-the-Lake

Go beyond the city limits. With seasonal service to Niagara region, a weekend getaway to wine country or a tour of one of the world’s natural wonders is a quick train ride away. Forget the worries of weekend traffic, and enjoy a relaxing ride to Niagara Falls. Bring your bike and cruise along the Niagara River Recreation Trail to take in the picturesque Falls or Niagara Gorge. Or take a GO Bus shuttle from St. Catharines and start your winery adventure in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake.

#GOGETAWAY STORIES

“One of the best things about living in Toronto is the awesome stuff to which you have access just outside of Toronto. While we’ll never get tired of the magic of Muskoka, the lively charm of Collingwood, or the whiskey-soaked whimsy of Wasaga Beach, we can’t say enough about the sensational summer getaway that is Niagara-on-the-Lake.” - Via notable.ca

“Since I moved to Toronto, I’ve always fancied cycling through the Niagara wine country. I’ve had the opportunity to drive to a few wineries but always daydreamed about how beautiful biking through the area would be. Last weekend, I finally got the opportunity to make this wish a reality with GO Transit’s seasonal service to Niagara.”

“From the beautiful beaches and cottage country characterizing the Barrie area to the luscious scenery and wineries in the Niagara region, there is plenty to do and discover in Ontario. Nobody wants to be the designated driver, and thanks to GO Transit this summer you don’t have to be!”

#GOGETAWAY STORIES

“With the summer season in full swing, our weekends are jam-packed with so many things to do, people to see and places to explore. This month it was so great to head to the big city of Toronto for a quick weekend getaway with the help of GO Transit!”

Via Rose City Style Guide

“So where are you headed? A family day trip to enjoy the north in Barrie? A trip to downtown Toronto for a Blue Jays or Toronto FC game? All are so easily accessible on GO Transit. And best of all…you don’t have to do the driving so you can actually enjoy the scenery!”

“To run a marathon requires training. The same applies to becoming a solo traveler. So many women feel anxious about taking that first exploration far away and all by themselves. To you I say, start practicing with a one-day trip of less than 75 miles from home. Once you see how easy it is you'll be tempted to go further!”
